Due to a scheduling conflict and activities related to the first week of school the Fall Season Coaches Meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 27th 6:30 PM at Jefferson Middle School at which time final team rosters, uniforms, and referee fees will be available.
Brevard United U10 2008 3v3 Challenge National Championships The Brevard United U10 team known as "PK" won the Challenge Sports 3v3 Nationals at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex for the 2nd year in a row on Aug 3, 2008. The team started strong on Friday (8/1) in pool play with a win an 11-4 over Jovenese Latinos Ascociados (J.L.A) and a 4-0 win over CFU Sharks.
Already assured a place in the next round the team took a loss 2-5 to Pines Precision in their last pool game on Saturday (8/2) but rebounded strongly with a win 5-2 over Listo y Fuerte in the Round of 16. Played continued on Sunday (8/3) with a quarterfinal win 5-2 over Double Trouble, a semifinal win 4-2 over Ponte Vedra Lightning, and a hard fought and well-deserved win in the final 5-4 over Weston Bulldogs. Congratulations to the players and the coaches for repeating as National 3v3 Champions!

Rockets United U7 2008 3v3 Challenge National Championships Three future members of Brevard United U9 competed as the Rockets United U7 team which won the Challenge Sports 3v3 Nationals at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex on Aug 3, 2008.
United opened with commanding wins on Friday (8/1) against North Port Lightning 11-0 and Weston Bulldogs 12-1. They remained focused as they completed group play on Saturday (8/2) with a pair of wins against Big Shots 12-0 and Richmond Hill Dragons 12-0. United entered the round of 16 having scored an impressive 47 goals and allowed only one in their four group games. A 12-0 victory on Sunday (8/3) morning against Green Machine saw the team move on to meet the Ormond Beach Grizzlies in the quarterfinals. With an entertaining 9-3 win against the Grizzlies and a 8-1 semifinal win against the Miami Bobcats the team took on Weston Arsenal in the final on Sunday afternoon. Playing in their eighth game in three days Rockets United wrapped up the championship with a dominating 12-1 win. Congratulations to the players and the coaches for a great effort in winning the U7 Boys Open National 3v3 Championship!
Angels U7 2008 3v3 Challenge National Championships Another team with strong ties to CBS was the Angels U7 Girls which also won the Challenge Sports 3v3 Nationals at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex on Aug 3, 2008.
The girls came out strong on Friday with a 12-1 win over the Blue Wave. The second game was a tough fight but the girls fought past many rough fouls and didn’t back down. They came away with a well earned and well deserved 6:5 victory over the Soccer Dawgs. Saturday morning was another impressive win over the Miramar Strikers 7-3. Taking top seed in their group the girls made it straight to the semi-finals where again they took on the Soccer Dawgs. Trailing 1-0 throughout most of the game the girls dug deep-fought hard and walked away with a 2-1 win to make it to the finals. In the finals they faced the Attack (top seed from group B). The girls took an early 2-0 lead but spent most of the game at 2-1. This was their best game of the weekend – shutting down the Attacks top players with an outstanding display of defense. The girls yet again walked away with a well earned, well deserved 4-1 victory to earn the 3v3 U7 Girls National Champs title of 2008.

Inaugural Central Brevard 3v3 Challenge at Merritt Island 
CBS hosted the Brevard 3v3 Challenge at Mitchell Ellington Park on June 7th and 8th. Approximately 55 teams competed ranging in age from U7 through Adult with a number of CBS teams taking top honors including the U10 Girls and U8, U9, U11 Boys teams. Many thanks go out to all of the CBS volunteers and the folks at Challenge Sports for making the weekend such a huge success. Final results for all age groups and pictures from the event can be found at ChallengeSports.com. Congratulations to the Island Girls and Coach Claudia for an exceptional performance at the Inaugural Central Brevard Soccer 3v3 Challenge at Mitchell Ellington Park June 7th and 8th. The girls were unstoppable, taking first place in the U10 Comp division with 6-2, 11-0 and 9-4 wins over Port Saint John United, VB Hot Shots and the Indialantic Force on Saturday and a decisive victory of 5-1 over Port Saint John United to clinch the championship on Sunday. The girls did incredible job working together as a team to win the tournament.
